The Day After

Hello and happy "Day After"! I woke up feeling somewhat happy and hopeful this morning and decided to bring out the red, white and blue to celebrate a bit. And for the upcoming Veteran's Day on Friday.

So out came the large bunting...

the small planter flags, garden flag, and the small buntings...

and inside on the parlor table I created a little red, white and blue vignette

using a 1907 postcard that reads "My Country 'tis of thee, Sweet land of liberty", a pair of antique spectacles, a 1906 ruby flash paper weight,

and 2 antique books... an 1892 "The Beautiful Tree of Life" and an 1899 "Mark Twain A Connecticut Yankee, etc.". I know, nothing really to do with the election, just the right colors for my vignette! :)

I need to go out and dig in the yard now but thank you so much for your visit and may God bless you and yours!

Love your red white and blue bunting on your house
You are always right in style with the season or events going one.
It is such good weather to be out putting those up also. Did you hang out of your top windows to hang those? LOL

  8. Hey Gina. I love the white wicker. I just painted all my porch wicker yellow. I think I need to paint it red now for Christmas. Your red/white/blue for the election was so great. I hope they can pass legislation to make Presidential Election days a Federal Holiday so everyone can have time to vote. Marshel in Alabama
