2nd Story Project Reveal and more!

Hello everyone and welcome back for another project reveal and a few new finds! I'm telling you I have went mad over this miniature hobby of mine! On my last post I featured my main level of my Olde Curiosity Shoppe, and if you would like to see that you can visit Maria Elena at her TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME party, she featured this post as the most viewed post of her party. Thank you Maria Elena!

Well, I still had extra minis that needed to go some where so I made a second story to my Olde Curiosity Shoppe and here it is!!

.

I think I want to make this one look more like how this style of house would have originally looked in the 1800's, with the antique furniture. But then again, maybe not! It does look a little boring! So who knows!

AND THEN, there's this kit that I got for $10 at an estate sale before Christmas! I think I will eventually make this one into a haunted looking house.

Well that is it but as you can see I will be busy for a long time!

I also want to show you a few things I have made lately, like this miniature hat box...

and this bakery is one I bought at a flea market over the Summer and redid it a bit by adding new lace for the curtains in the windows and door, adding the cat and the donuts to match the sign that was already there, and the gingerbread man.

And that, my friend, is all for now! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit!
Have a great week!

  1. Gina, I love the Curiosity Shoppe! I have been studying your pictures for what seems like an eternity :-) There are so many details. I may use your idea myself. I have so many minis from swaps that are all different themes and I have been wondering how to display them. This seems like the perfect idea.
What great finds on the other dollhouses! Once the mini addiction hits it takes over for sure. I love your posts and can't wait to see what else you create. Thanks so much for sharing!

  4. Oh Gina...LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the new house. That was a fabulous deal. Can't WAIT to see what you'll do with it.

Oh, isn't this miniatures hobby the BEST? I just took down all the dollhouse Christmas decor tonight. Was thinking how I wish I had a bigger dollhouse ready to furnish. Of course, there's one up in the attic that needs refurbishing . But you give me inspiration! I've just got to DO it.

Congratulations on everything. The hatbox is the bomb! Thanks for sharing. Susan

  8. Oh what do you mean that is all! Wow!!! This is so make me miss my doll house and want to be back home. RV-living means the water has all frozen this morning as it is so cold. Love, love love what you have done, creative the little mouse hole and the way that pesky squirrel has knocked over the basket and the train is spilled. You have done thought of everything right down to drawing the hard wood, btw looks better then the real stuff I agree with you. The other houses look so wonderful you have been busy. I look forward to seeing this house painted and all decorated, great purchase by the way. I'm on the scoot for minis for my house any tips. We are RV-living so we are on the road all over the EAst Coast. Would love to find smalls.

  13. WOW! I don't even know where to start! I'm in miniature heaven Gina. The upstairs to your shop is fabulous as usual. I really like the activity you put into the scene with tiny critters and little people. My brain immediately wants to make up a story to go along with the scene.

What a find at the flea market! I couldn't have passed it up either. That was such a bargain. I know you're going to create another incredible miniature world for us to enjoy. I love to look at your pics with my magnifying glass to see every tiny detail.

Thank you for such a delightful time on this cold Monday morning!
    Blessings, Edie Marie

PS your miniature hatbox is perfection!
