An Easter Visit from Yesteryear

Come on over for a little Easter visit. We're dressed in our Sunday best and ready for some company.

(This antique porcelain bisque pair was purchased from Richard's booth during our visit to his lovely home in the town of Clarksville this past week, click here for that post.)

We have the perfect Easter hat for you to wear during your visit, if you need one.

You're welcome to wear the outfit too if it you would like.

(This dress form dates to the early 1900's, it came from a garage auction downtown that had once been a dress shop WAY back, the clothing I bought at a different auction and I added Spring fun to the sun hat.)

We have flowers on the parlor table for your eyes to behold

and a stereoscope and several cards for your entertainment,

this Easter card is perfect for the occasion. The bunnies and baby chicks don't seem to be making the girl on the right very happy. Either she is afraid of them or she was told she couldn't hold one, what do you think?

In the dining room the table isn't set for dinner yet but the silver basket is overflowing with late 1800's blown glass eggs. If you want to see more of these eggs in past posts click here.

We hate to have to cut our afternoon short but we must get back to our spot now so the vignette can be complete for your viewing pleasure.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a little visit from yesteryear. We do hope you enjoyed it and here's wishing you and yours a very Happy Easter.

  9. I love seeing your collection of Victorian items. What treasures you have. I just posted about some early 20th century French postcards. I too love old things. The Victorian era fascinates me. My best to you:)

  12. Hi Gina, Congrats on all of the great stuff happening with your blog. That Easter stereoscope photo is so perfect! I think you know I grew up in a Victorian era house filled with treasures my parents found at junk shops and antique stores. Whenever I visit your blog, I'm transported to my childhood, in a way. Thanks! xo Jennifer
