I had been on the look out for quite some time now and was thrilled when I saw this one at a local estate auction. It blends in perfectly with the blue in my ebonized frame...
and it goes so nicely with the blue sky of my ceiling mural.
This is the not so pretty reproduction shade that used to be on the lamp.
Below is what I bought from the miniature museum, a craft store down the road from it and a miniature shop that was going out of business.
Don't you just love the sideboard? I have not found a life sized one for my dining room yet but this one for the doll's house will do just fine for now! :)
And that is it for now. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit, I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful first week of December!

Hi Gina,
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! The little bear family is so cute.
Hugs,
Lisa
I enjoyed visiting your smalls today, I have a special spot in my heart for doll houses and furniture. The sideboard is very nice, the dolls are lovely. I got so caught up in the little's I almost forgot to mention how beautiful the lamp looks now that you changed the shade. It matches very nicely with the rest of your home, lovely. Shelf clocks are a family favourite.
ReplyDeleteYour new globe is beautiful, what a lucky find! I did not know we had a miniature museum in St Louis? Love the collection of ebony frames too!
ReplyDeleteOh darling, darling, DARLING minies. Oh, loved looking at them. That tiny jack-in-the-box! Fabulous. Sooooo adorable, one and all.
ReplyDeleteGina, the lamp is gorgeous, too. Thanks so much for sharing. Susan p.s. If you EVER get to Tucson, Arizona, they have the most fabulous miniature museum you'll ever encounter in your LIFE! Check out their website too. Fabulous.
Your ceiling is stunning! Wow!!! I love your clock collection, really lovely. I have a shelf clock but it's not ebonized like that. My fave of your minis is the little bag of ice. Thanks for sharing at my "Olde" party :) -Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
ReplyDeleteWonderful treasures! Your house is so beautiful! So many heirlooms!
ReplyDeleteJennelise
What awesome finds, and what a collector's eye you have!
ReplyDeleteI would love to know the approximate year of your items, especially the kitchen clock.
I wanted to say how adorable all your miniatures are you just got. I like the room box with all the old spools and the little dolls are cute of course.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are those chickens? LOL
p.s. on Wednesday
ReplyDeleteHi Gina....We both love anything Victorian! My old-fashioned hanging lamp is one of my faves. Found it at an estate sale. It's cracked cranberry glass and is just perfect for the pink living room.
Your home looks beautiful! Susan
Hi Gina, your treasures are lovely. Love your minatures. You have quite the collection. xo
ReplyDeleteWow ! and Wow !,
ReplyDeleteThe lamp is the perfect fine. I love it. All your clocks are to die for . I also love clocks. Its just something about them. The very old are the best. I also try to buy a lot of min's, but not for doll houses. I use them when I make my theater dolls. I just love your bear family. That is the cutest .Although...I saw two very precious tiny dolls. I just love your room and I love this blog.
When you have time, I would like for you to visit Sherry and me. We have a special post for Dec. it is a long post , but I hope it will be a treat for you,
Merry Christmas, with all the love and best wishes for a Holiday Season,
Marie Antoinette

Hi Gina,
ReplyDeleteYour lamp top was an amazing find a perfect match for the frame, and CEILING MURAL, oh wow I am in heaven, that is fabulous, I would lay on the couch and gaze away at it all day!
Happy Weekend to you...
Hugs,
Bella
oh my goodness you have so much going on...i love the bears the most, I guess, but your lamp in the beginning reminds me of one at my grandmothers years ago...Not the base, but the top globe portion.
ReplyDeleteYour site is always fun to visit! :)
Gina, the lamp shade is exquisite. I love it picking up from your beautiful ceiling. Lots of cute littles. I bet you are having fun now!...Happy Monday..Judy
ReplyDeleteI love the lamp...and yes, the shade is perfect! I love it! So nice to meet you! I love miniatures. My father made me a rosewood miniature bedroom set I really out to share one day...thanks for the reminder and the visit!
